Verified model details
The Skimlite SnapLite specifications (manufacturer source) lists the 6016 as a two-piece pole with an approximate 8–16ft range. It uses button locks and decagon-shaped tubing. Skimlite identifies SnapLite as aluminum in its manufacturer’s material guide. These features should not be confused with the company’s Dually outside-thread and internal-cam system.
Our 26ft Carbon Fiber Pool Pole has a four-section carbon fiber telescopic design and three quick-release clamps. It offers more nominal maximum length and a different adjustment mechanism. Neither fact, on its own, proves a weight or durability advantage for every task.

When 16 feet may already be enough
If you can reach the areas you clean from stable positions around the deck, a sound 6016 may meet your needs. You do not need a longer pole simply because the pool is described as commercial or because an article calls longer equipment “professional.” The layout, depth and available deck access matter more than the label.
Walk the pool and identify the actual gaps. A deep floor may need a longer diagonal reach. A raised wall may limit where you can stand. Keep enough shaft in your hands to guide the tool, and follow the pole’s extension limits. Do not balance on coping or use a ladder as a workaround for a cleaning-pole reach problem.
When to look at a 26ft upgrade
Our pole is worth considering if your routine work repeatedly requires more length than the 6016 provides and you prefer quick-release lever adjustment. The four-section design lets you choose a shorter working setting when full extension is unnecessary. Check the collapsed specification and your storage space before purchase; a different section layout can change transport needs.
Maximum length is not a promise that every corner can be cleaned from one side. Move around the pool where practical and use the shortest setting that comfortably reaches the work. This is especially important when collecting heavy wet leaves or guiding a larger vacuum head.
The attachment check is essential
Our pole is intended for standard pool cleaning attachments. Verify the exact fitting and fastening method on each tool you plan to transfer. A proprietary vacuum adapter or worn spring clip may need attention even when both products are described as pool equipment.
Check that the tool seats and locks according to its instructions. Do not drill extra holes or force an incorrect fitting. A secure connection matters more than an unsupported statement that every “universal” accessory works with every pole. Also check what is included in the package, because a pictured net or brush may be sold separately.
Plan for normal wear
Both aluminum and carbon fiber equipment need inspection. Examine the shaft, locks and attachment end before use, and remove damaged equipment from service. Rinse away grit before collapsing sections and follow the model-specific maintenance instructions. Carbon fiber is not an indestructible material, and quick-release clamps are not maintenance-free.
